This is a Christmas song for which my brother wrote the lyrics and I wrote the music. And here's a blurb from him about the song:
Anyone who knows me well knows that I totally LOVE Christmas! (And Easter!) And because Jesus' birth is really mainly significant to us as Christians because of what He came to do- we're really celebrating both the birth of Christ and His death and Resurrection at Christmas. That is to say- Christmas is not really complete without Easter. And because Jesus has shown us His mercy and given us salvation, we can truly celebrate Christmas and Easter every day of the year! I certainly love to. And I love so many of the things that go with the Christmas season- but nothing can compare to the precious gift God gave us through His Son Jesus Christ. Praise God for His love! :-)

The Gift of Two Trees
..............................
(Lyrics by Nathan Ludwick 1/02/2010
Music by Kevin Ludwick Christmas Day 2010)
(Luke 2:1-20, Matthew 1:18-25, Galatians 4:4-5, 1 Thessalonians 5:9-11)
Verse 1
............
It seems it comes sooner every year
The ads in the papers and the stores
By December it's wreaths, red and green everywhere
Christmas music all over and it's in the air
There are cookies to be made and presents to get
Chorus 1
.............
And I'm suddenly wrapped up in wrapping
But I can't miss a single happening
And as I'm out "Joy to the World" caroling
I celebrate the day that love came near ("here" on 2nd. time)
And I put my gifts under the Christmas tree here
Verse 2
...........
The holly and the ivy draped on the banister
A trip to the mall to sit on St. Nick's knee
And I hear the angels' words from the minister
I see the shepherds and wise men in the pageant
Think of Scrooge's heart for Tiny Tim Cratchit
(Repeat Chorus 1)
Bridge
.........
Of all the Christmas gifts I've gotten
There's one gift that can never be forgotten
And oh, the great joy of this blessed, happy day
When Christ the Savior has come to take our sins away
Chorus 2
............
And I'm suddenly awed at this mystery
Of the greatest show of love in history
And I harken to the herald angels sing
I've put my gifts under the Christmas tree
But God put His gift (up)on the Easter tree
(Repeat Chorus 2 twice)
(Fade with:)
Oh, worship the risen King!
Oh, how He loves you and me.
